Anthropology

So, again, I find myself putting months between posts. It's been an interesting few. I'm still single, although sorta wishing I wasn't... mostly due in fact to the following:

Last night, (which was actually this morning) between the hours of 8:50 and 9:00AM, I had a dream. In this dream, there was a bunch of us out playing soccer. I don't know why, 'cause I am terrible at soccer, and have never enjoyed playing it. We were in the Aberheart field, and I was in net. After a few minutes of game, I went back to the relaxing spot (just west of the west net, near the exit to the place where I always used to park), and chilled with Adam and Rebecca, who were holding hands, and being all close and such... And I didn't mind, I never do. I actually kind of like seeing people fall in love with each other. I actually kinda like watching people kiss each other too... I know most people don't, but there's something about the closeness, the intimacy... anyways, I digress.  So, Adam and Rebecca are being all close and such, and then, this girl (who shall remain un-named... 'cause the last time something like this got out, I ate it later on) came towards me, and stood pretty close to me. She was defiantly within the "Three Feet Zone" (rule which states that if somebody of the opposite gender is comfortable standing within three feet of you for an extended amount of time, they like you). Than, she stepped on my foot, and I was all like: "Hey, that's my foot!" and she didn't care, even though it really hurt... but than I realized that she was trying to shift my weight around so that we could link arms. My left in her right. And then, she held me, really close, and we just existed for a bit. Than, she started singing "lullaby of birdland" (and she has a beautiful voice [both in real life and in the dream]), and we danced whilst still holding each other until my alarm went blaring off in a different key bringing me back to reality. Suffice to say, I was pretty distracted at work.

And I still haven't seen salmon  woman again. She's pretty. I've only met her the two times, but she smiled at me. So do the baristas at Heartland Café in Bridgeland. And this other girl who I served fish to, but have never seen again (Maurice sure gave me what for for not picking up on that one though :P)...

My cat is playing with a toy mouse. He is positively adorable.

Now he wants to go out.

Until the next gig,

John
